MATERIALS
V2 yard of burlap
Snowflake-shape cookie cutters or
stencil templates
1
piece of light green felt
Hole punch
Fabrics glue
White felt adhesive circles
Cotton embroidery floss and needle
Polyester fiberfill
Needle and sewing thread
INSTRUCTIONS
Cut two 16-inch squares from burlap.
Using the cookie cutter or template,
trace
snowflake
shapes
onto
the
light green felt;
cut out.
Use hole
punch to punch holes in the shapes
as desired.
Glue the snowflakes to the burlap;
tack at the centers. Attach white circles
to centers of snowflakes and small
circles to snowflake tips; embellish
with embroidery floss bows.
Pin
the
burlap
squares
together
with right sides facing. Sew around
the
edges
using
a
/Cinch
seam
allowance; leave a hole for stuffing.
Turn the pillow right side out; press.
Stuff with polyester fiberfill and slip-
stitch the opening closed.

Heavy cotton striped fabric
Rickrack trim in coordinating color
Buttons

Ribbons
Clothespins, vintage or new
Photocopies of family photos
Letter stickers and snowflake shapes
INSTRUCTIONS
Enlarge
stocking pattern,
page 51,
400%, using a photocopier. Use the
pattern to cut a stocking front and
back from striped fabric, reversing
one
of the
shapes.
Cut a
second
stocking front and back, varying the
look by changing the orientation of the
pattern. Fold the top edge of each
stocking piece under 1 inch toward
the wrong side; press.
Pin the right sides of the stocking
shapes together. Sew around the edges
using a FTinch seam allowance, leaving the
top edge open. Clip the curves. Turn
the stocking right side out; press.
Trim
the
stockings
as
desired
with
rickrack
and
buttons
using
fabrics glue. Hang the stockings from
ribbons and clothespins.
For extra
durability
w hen
the
stockings
are
stuffed, hang the stockings from the
ribbons, using the clothespin only as
decorative accessories.
Use a color or black-and-w hite
photocopy of a photo for the tag.
Decorate with letter stickers, snow-
flake shapes, rickrack, and buttons.
Clip the tags to the clothespins.
